மஹாஸ்வாமிகளின் உபதேசம் (Mahaswami's upadesam)

ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் நாற்பது வருடங்களுக்கு மேல் பூஜா கைங்கர்யம் செய்து வந்தார், குள்ளச்சீனு அய்யர் என்பவர். அவருடைய புத்திரர் ஸ்ரீ மடத்தில் இப்போது சாமவேத அத்யாபகராயிருக்கும் ஸ்ரீ சந்திர மௌளிச்ரௌதிகள் சுமார் ஆறு வருஷங்களுக்கு முன் (2000 ஆண்டு வாக்கில்) உடலில் திடீரென்று வாயுத்தொல்லை அதிகமாகி எங்கேயாவது ஓடிப்போய்விடலாமா என்ற நிலை ஏற்பட்டது.

ஆனால் வயதான தாயாரையும், குழந்தைகளையும் தன்னிடத்தில் படிக்கும் மாணவர்களையும் விட்டு விட்டு, எப்படி எங்கே போவது ? - என்று நிலைகொள்ளாமல் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளையே பிரார்த்தித்துக்கொண்டு இரவில் படுத்துக்கொண்டார். அப்பொழுது கனவில் கையில் தண்டமில்லாத சன்யாஸிபோல் தோற்றமளித்த ஒருவர் சந்திரமௌளியை, ‘என் பின்னாலே வா’ என்று அழைத்துக் கொண்டு ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாள் சிவாஸ்தானத்தில் வழக்கமாகத் தங்கும் இடத்திற்குச் சென்று, ஓர் இடுக்கு வழியாக உள்ளே சென்றுவிட்டார். மௌளி மட்டும் வெளியே நின்றுகொண்டு அந்தப் பலகணி வழியாக எட்டிப் பார்த்தார். அப்போது ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாள், வெறும் துண்டு மட்டும் கட்டிக்கொண்டு படுத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். பக்கத்தில் வேறு இரு சன்யாஸிகள். ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாள் சந்திரமௌளியைக் கூப்பிட்டு கையில் இருந்த எதோ ஒரு யந்திரம் எழுதியிருந்த தகட்டை நன்றாகத் துடைத்துவிட்டு ‘என்ன எழுதியிருக்கிறது?’ என்று படிக்கும்படி உத்திரவிட்டார்கள்.

மௌளி, “அது கன்னட எழுத்து மாதிரியிருக்கிறது; எனக்குக் கன்னடம் படிக்கத் தெரியாது; பேச மட்டும்தான் தெரியும்” என்றார். அதை அழித்துவிட்டு மறுபடியும் காண்பித்து, “படி” என்று உத்திரவிட்டார்கள். “இந்த லிபியும் எனக்கு தெரியாது; தெலுங்கு எழுத்துப்போல் இருக்கிறது” என்றார் சந்திரமௌளி. அதன்பிறகு பெரியவா மறுபடியும் யந்திரத்தைத் துடைத்துவிட்டு பிரகாசமான எழுத்தில் இருந்ததைப் படிக்கும்படி உத்திரவிட்டார்கள். அதில் “தும் துர்காயை நமஹ’ என்று சம்ஸ்கிருத்தில் பளிச்சென்று எழுதியிருந்தது. “இதுதான் நான் உனக்குச் செய்யும் உபதேசம் இதையே ஜபம் செய்” என்று அனுக்ரஹித்தார்கள்.

உடனே விழிப்பு வந்துவிட்டது, சந்திரமௌளிக்கு.

மறு நாள் முதல் மௌளி அந்த மந்திரத்தை ஜபம் செய்ய ஆரம்பித்துவிட்டார். படிப்படியாக உடல் உபத்திரவம் பரிபூரணமாகக் குணமடைந்தார்.
சில தினங்கள் ஆயின. மறுபடி ஒரு கனவு. கையில் திரிசூலத்தை வைத்துக் கொண்டு, லம்பாடி போல் தோற்றமளித்த ஒரு பெண்மணி, மௌளி சென்ற இடமெல்லாம் தொடர்ந்து வந்துகொண்டேயிருந்தாள். எங்கு போனாலும், ஓடினாலும் மதில் மேல் ஏறிக் குதித்துச் சென்றாலும் கதவைச் சாத்திக்கொண்டு கோயிலுக்குச் சென்றாலும், அவரை விடாமல் தொடர்ந்து வந்து கொண்டேயிருந்தாள்.

மௌளிக்குப் பயத்துடன் விழிப்பு வந்துவிட்டது.
 

தற்செயலாக கும்பகோணத்திலிருந்து வந்த ஸ்ரீ வித்யா உபாசகரான தினகர சாஸ்திரிகளிடம் இதைப்பற்றிக் கேட்டார். “நான் பல வருஷங்களாக ஜபம் செய்தும் எனக்கு துர்காம்பிகையின் தரிசனம் கிடைக்கவில்லை. உனக்கு ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளின் அனுக்ரஹம்தான். கனவில் வந்தது, சாட்சாத் துர்காதேவியே !” என்று சொன்ன்னர்.
 

ஒரு நாள் காஞ்சி காமாட்சியம்மன் கோயிலில், துவஜஸ்தம்பத்தின் அருகில், இந்த துர்கா மந்திரத்தை ஜபம் பண்ணிக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது, கோயில் ஸ்தானிகர், ஸ்ரீ காமகோடி சாஸ்திரிகள், “அம்பாள் சந்நிதியில் வந்து ஜபம் செய்” என்று அவரை அழைத்துக் கொண்டு போனார். கொஞ்ச நேரம் கண்ணை மூடிக் கொண்டு ஜபம் செய்தார். பின், யாரோ கழுத்தில் ஏதோ கட்டுவதுபோல் தெரிந்ததும் கண்ணைத் திறந்து பார்த்தால், காமகோடி சாஸ்திரிகள் தன் கையில் கட்டியிருந்த காப்புக்கயிற்றைக் கழற்றி, “இன்று காப்புக் கட்டு பூர்த்தி தினம்; அம்பால் பிரசாதம்; கழுத்தில் அணிந்துகொள்” என்று கூறிக்கொண்டே கட்டி விட்டார்.
 

மறு நாள் ஸ்ரீ மௌளி காமகோடி சாஸ்திரிகளைச் சந்தித்தபோது ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாள் கனவில் அநுக்ரஹித்ததையும், முதல் நாள் சாஸ்திரிகள் தம் கழுத்தில் கட்டிய காப்பையும் காட்டி சந்தோஷப்பட்டார்.
 

காமகோடி சாஸ்திரிகள், தனக்கு துவஜஸ்தம்பத்திலிருந்த மௌளியை சந்நிதிக்கு அழைத்து வந்ததோ, தன் கைக்காப்பைக் கழற்றி மௌளியின் கழுத்தில் கட்டியதோ எதுவும் தெரியவே தெரியாது !”

சந்திரமௌளியின் கையில் கட்டிய காப்பு இன்னும் இருக்கிறதே ? அது கனவுப் பொருள் இல்லையே ? அப்படியானால், ஸ்தானிகராக வந்தது யார் ? என்று திகைப்புடன் கூறினார்

English Translation:

Sri Kulla Seenu was at the service of Sri Mahaperiava doing 'pooja kainkaryam' for more than forty years.  His son Sri Chandramouli Srowdhigal who now serves as sama veda adhyapaka at sri matam, was suffering from vata disorder (during the year 2000) and was mad to run elsewhere not able to bear the suffering.

Not willing to desert his aged mother, his children and students, he prayed to mahaperiava and slept that night.  In his dream he saw a sanyasi without dhanda asking to follow him and led him to sivasthanam where mahaperiava usually stays and disappeared through a narrow gap.  Mouli peeped inside through the balcony gap and saw mahaperiava lying there wearing only a towel along with two more sanyasi.  Mahaperiava had a yantra in his hand, wiped it and asked him to read the inscriptions on it.

Mouli said it seems like kannada script and that he knows only to speak but not read it.  Mahaperiava wiped it again and asked him to read, but now it seemed like telugu script and mouli could not read it.  Once again mahaperiava wiped it and asked him to read the bright letters in it.  In sanskrit it was written "dum durgayai namah".  Mahaperiava said this is my upadesa for you... do japa on this.  Mouli woke up on this.

From the next day he started doing japa and gradually recovered from his vata related illness.

He had a dream once again after few days.  A gypsy like woman with trishool in her hands followed him wherever he went, climbing the walls or inside the closed temple.  He woke up.

Casually he shared his dreams with sri vidya upasaka sri Dhinakara sasthrigal.  Sasthrigal said even after doing japa for many years he never got Durgambika's dharshan  and confirmed that mouli had her grace.

One day while he was doing japa near the dwajasthamba of Sri Kanchi Kamakshiamman temple, the temple sthanikar asked him to do the japa at the sanctum of ambal.  After doing japa for sometime there, he felt somebody tying something around his neck and opened his eyes.  It was kamakoti sasthrigal tying the 'kaappu' thread from his hands saying "today is kaappu kattu poorthi day; ambal's prasadam; tie it around your neck" and tied it.

Next day when sri mouli met kamakoti sasthrigal he narrated his dream about mahaperiava and the kaappu sasthrigal tied around his neck and expressed his happiness.

Kamakoti sasthrigal was unaware of all the happenings but the kaappu he tied was still around mouli's neck.. it's not a dream.. then who came as sthanikar?... he was stunned.
