புவனமோ நான்முகன் படைப்பு;
Earth is created by Lord Brahma

நான்முகனோ கரியமால் உந்தியில் வந்தோன்;
Lord Brahma emerged from Lord Vishnu's navel

கரியமாலோ அலைகடல் துயின்றோன்;
Lord Vishnu sleep in the Ocean,

அலைகடல், குறுமுனி அங்கையில் அடக்கம்;
Ocean is trapped in the Kamandal of Sage Agastya

குறுமுனியோ கலசத்தில் பிறந்தோன்;
Sage Agastya was born from Kalash

கலசமோ புவியிற் சிறு மண்;
Kalash is made up of a small portion of the earth

புவியோஅரவினுக்கு ஒருதலைப் பாரம்;
Earth is a load on one of the thousand heads of snake Adisesha

அரவோ உமையவள் சிறுவிரல் மோதிரம்;
The snake is a ring in the little finger of Goddess Uma
